The Birkenhead2020 Project – October Round-up

I’m writing the October Round-up at the end of February, partly due to the IT issues I had last year and partly because there’s a huge backlog of photographs to edit and add titles to. Anyway, better late than never!

There’s lots of lovely autumn colours in these photos and I hope you enjoy looking through them 🙂

One of the things you realise when taking the photos is that you venture down streets that you’ve never had a reason to walk down before, so you get to see a lot of places you’ve never seen before … and quite possibly will never see again!

With the photos that have been added for October, there are now over 11,000 images in the archive. This must be the largest organised photographic archive of any town in the UK during 2020 – and possibly, anywhere in Europe and maybe even the world. It will be an invaluable record of the streets of Birkenhead for future generations.

You can see a full list of the streets photographed so far by clicking or tapping here.
